European learning partnership project opens up the potential ‘ new media the aim of the project is the development and application of a language portfolio for formal and informal learning of languages. The language portfolio is a combination of: a language passport – a document documenting the language learning of students and which include includes a dossier – a significant collection of its own linguistic records which indicate the language progress of learners through self – and external evaluation, as well as certificates to the short form of a linguistic self assessment in accordance with the European framework of reference and a biography – a detailed representation of the learner by using the standard Europass CV and work samples of his foreign career. Primarily the language portfolio should enable learners, to make clear their foreign language services and to become aware of itself closer to determine weaknesses and strengths of the own language skills. For this reason, it was in the project by Community4you created a Web-based online course in the Swiss version of the European language portfolio. The content was prepared educationally and conceptual and learners to assess their English language skills in the e-portfolio campus (s portfolio.open-eis.com) available. Basis of evaluation modules are language levels standardized by the European reference framework A1-C2. Upon completion of each module the student will receive a feedback about the level for its specially priced foreign language.
